Daily Devotion For June 15

Cloaked

I shared once before how excited I was to finally get to meet my parents-in-law. Well on the day they arrived we had to go to the Airport very early. They arrived in the early morning just after the sun had come up.

I used to love going to the airport. In fact it was one of my favorite things to do if I ever had a few minutes to spare and wanted to do something exciting.

On the day of their arrival I was as excited about seeing the plane landing as I was at meeting them. As soon as we walked into the airport building we headed upstairs to a lookout point. It was wonderful because it looked onto the tarmac and the planes parked right in front of the windows.

As we arrived at the lookout point, I was devastated to see that a heavy mist had come down. You could hardly see further than one of the parking bays. You certainly couldn't see the runway. Now how was I going to know if they had arrived or not?

I vaguely thought I heard the roar of a plane and wondered if it had arrived. Of course I could not tell. I just had to wait.

We stood and watched and waited anxiously, and it seemed like we would never see the plane. But then suddenly we saw that huge jumbo jet coming through the mist. That was such an awesome sight! And to make things even better, it came and parked immediately in front of us.

I thought about this scene and realized that this is a good picture of your prayer life. You are likely excited about receiving your desire and you are confident that you will see it soon.

However, very often you will not see it manifesting when you want to see it. You may have strong faith and be looking forward to receiving it. But at times it will seem to be delayed and you won't see the answer right away.

This is where you just need to hold on because soon you will see it. In the spiritual realm it is likely right there, just about to manifest. It is like the mist that covered that plane up so that I couldn't see it. It was right there. I just had to wait a few minutes before it would appear.

If you are in this position today, I want to encourage you to hang on and not give up hope. The answer is likely right there. It will suddenly appear and you will rejoice in the Lord's goodness to you.

*****

If you are waiting anxiously for something to manifest, I stand with you that you will receive your desire soon.

I thank the Lord that He has heard you and answered your request, and that soon it will appear.

Today may the desires of your heart become a reality in your life.
