He Knows Everything

Genesis 18:11 to 13 says this.

Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing.
So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?”
Then the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ [NIV]

One thing that amazes me about the Lord is that He knows everything. You don’t have to tell Him something because He knows it already.

This can be both a good and a bad thing. It can be a bad thing if you have done something wrong and you are trying to hide it from the Lord. Well, as you can see from this passage, the Lord knows about it anyway. And let me tell you that no matter what you do, there is absolutely nothing that will make the Lord turn away from you.

The Lord understands you better than you understand yourself. He knows the negative thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing. And when you mess up or fall into sin, He also knows about it.

When you now try to escape the Lord because you feel guilty about what happened, you have a problem. Why? Because if you are a born-again believer, He knows all the more your mess ups.

But He died for you and all your faults and failures, and the minute you do something, He is there to acquit you of your sin. He shows His nail-scarred hands to the Father and says,

“This person is not guilty. They are acquitted. I already paid the price for that sin and have washed it clean.”

You don’t have to feel ike a naughty child who knows that they will be punished for their bad behavior. There is no punishment with the Lord. He knows what has happened, and He forgives you freely.

Here now is the good part about Him knowing everything. Isaiah 65:24 says,

And it will come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. [GBMV]

Have you ever had a secret desire that you haven’t shared with anyone? You have kept it to yourself, but you really desired something to manifest in your life. Well, the Lord knows about that desire, and according to this verse, He will answer you before you even say anything.

Okay, we know that in reality you don’t already receive an instant answer to whatever you want the minute you think about it. It is still a good idea to speak it out loud and reach out to the Lord for whatever that desire is. But when you do that, He is ready and waiting to bring you your answer quickly. The angels spring to action and get moving to bring that desire to you.

Know that the Lord adores you, and He wants to bless you with an abundant life. Do not allow negative things to stop that blessing from coming to you. Also, do not let it stop you from having that wonderful, open relationship with the Lord Jesus.

You can be open and honest and share your heart with Him. When you do that, you will find a new freedom in Him and a joy in walking with Him.

Many blessings.

This was a timely reminder. It blessed me. It gave me peace and rest that He has for me, and He hears me. Whether I fail or succeed, He is always with me. I cannot hear that enough.
