Perfume

2 Corinthians 2:14 and 15 says, 

Now thanks [be] to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and manifests the aroma of His knowledge through us on every occasion.

For we are to God a sweet fragrance of Christ, with those that are being saved, and with those that are destroying themselves: [GBMV]

Perfume is one of those things that I think is essential in life. Whether you are a man or a woman, who doesn’t like smelling a gorgeous fragrance that makes you feel beautiful?

Have you ever been walking in a shopping mall or some other place? Someone walks past you and you suddenly smell a gorgeous fragrance that follows them. It has a lovely effect on you and makes you feel good. 

Well, did you know that in the spiritual realm you also carry a beautiful fragrance? That fragrance is from the Lord Jesus inside of you, and you received it from the moment you were born again. 

You carry that sweet savour of walking in blessing, which among other things is abundant health, wealth and relationships. Whatever else you need to live an abundant life is also yours because you are a child of the King.

Our family had a time of singing and worshipping the Lord a while back. At one stage I had my eyes closed, and I saw a vision of our ministry. I always see our ministry like a big building which people can see from afar. 

It was the usual vision that I always saw, but this time I saw a magnificent, huge flower that opened up on the roof. I then saw how it spread the most gorgeous perfume all over the place that made a positive impression on those who smelt it.

So, whether you are part of a ministry team, or whether you minister as a normal believer who just loves the Lord, know that whatever you do will touch the lives of people. All of this will happen simply because you carry the fragrance of the Lord Jesus inside of you. And when you pour out to others in love, that perfume gets poured out as well. 

Remember that you are a carrier of abundant life, and of every good thing that the Lord designed for you to walk in. As you go out this week, why not be more aware of it, and let the Lord lead you to pour that perfume out? He will use you to bring much blessing to His people and to those that He loves.
