Run to the Rock
Psalm 61:1 to 4 says,
Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth I will cry to you, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock [that] is higher than me.
For you have been a shelter for me, [and] a strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in your dwelling place for ever: I will trust in the covering of your wings. Selah. [GBMV]
This is such a beautiful Psalm and I love it. Do you feel victorious today, or are you overwhelmed with cares? Maybe you need a breakthrough in any area of your natural life: health, wealth or relationships. Or maybe you need victory over your negative emotions.
I know what this is like. You feel as though there is a heavy blanket of cares weighing you down, and you have no hope for the future. Right now it seems like it is never going to change.
If you feel like that, what do you do? Run to the rock, the Lord Jesus, as this Psalm says. He will take you through. Let the crushing cares that you are carrying around go. He understands you and He is not about to let you down.
Submit yourself to the Lord and resist Satan and his attack on you. I have shared this many times, but it really is the best way to begin getting the victory. When you have done that, close the door to any enemy attack.
Now simply rest in the Lord for a while. Play some Christian music that you like, or pray in tongues for a bit. You don’t have to go into warfare if you are feeling weak. You can rest for a while and build up your spirit first.
Does it feel like your situation is impossible to overcome? Look back on the past, and see how the Lord worked miracles for you previously. I’m sure that He has come through for you many times.
When you do this, it can really boost your faith. Because if He did something miraculous for you back then, He will surely do it now, too.
Know that the Lord is In control, and He wants you to walk in abundant blessing. Keep your faith in the field, and soon you will bounce back to full victory again.
Many blessings to you.
