See as Jesus Sees
Romans 8:1 says this.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
Have you ever done something really foolish in your life? I’m pretty sure we have all been there. You might have messed something up so badly, like making the wrong decision. And now it is like you have a sentence of death over you because people are condemning you for what you did.
Condemnation seems to be so easy to do. It is part of the sinful nature, and it comes about easily if you are walking in the flesh and not the Spirit. But how wonderful to know that there is no condemnation in the Lord.
Even as a believer, you may look at someone and simply see them through human or natural eyes. You might look at someone who just never seems to succeed in anything and say,
“You are just a loser going nowhere. Why don’t you shape up?”
Well, maybe that ‘loser’ is desperately trying to do something positive, but they just don’t seem to hack it. The trouble is, when you speak negative words to them, you condemn them.
Perhaps as a parent, your intention is to try and shake your kids up and help them to change things. But words like that often just make them want to give up because they feel hopeless.
The Lord Jesus, however, sees us in a totally different light. He will never ever condemn you because you are His special child. You belong to Him, and He always has the best in mind for you. Even if you are failing and floundering around in the dark, He will always encourage you. He will tell you something like this.
“I want the best for you, My child. And even though you are struggling and don’t seem to be making headway, I am making a way for you to walk in victory. I am pleased with you because your heart is right and you love Me. And now, if you just look to Me, I will lead you a step at a time into the blessing that I have for you.”
As a believer, the Lord wants you to walk in His uncondemning love. He also wants you to walk in blessing and every good thing. But you often have a conflict between the flesh and the Spirit, and you find it hard to accomplish.
How to Change Things
So, how can you bring that blessing into your life? It is simple. You need to just make a choice to walk in the Spirit. Ask the Lord Jesus to show you how He sees things, and you will begin to change your view of people. You will find yourself flowing in His uncondemning love, and you will start to see the good in them instead.
If you have been struggling with this aspect of your life, why not give it a try? You will be amazed at how your thoughts will change. And once those thoughts change, it will flow over into your actions.
Have a wonderful day and new week, and know that you are abundantly blessed.
