Take That, Satan!

I remember once watching a movie in a movie theatre. One of the scenes involved a war scene, where the two opposing forces were facing each other. They held long swords in their hands. Then someone gave the command, and the two groups rushed at each other with their weapons flashing in the sun. I could imagine in real life it must have been really scary. 

In the movie, most of the people in the two sides fought each other with all that they had. There were, however, some who escaped and ran away in fear.

Well, did you know that you as a believer have a sword? What is that sword? It is a sword of authority, and you need to use it against Satan

I was reading recently about the daily sacrifices in the tabernacle that the children of Israel used to do. They did it morning and night, and you need to do the same with Satan. Why? Because you need to stop any attacks that he is planning against you.

You need to daily, morning and night, submit yourself to the Lord and resist Satan. Shut any open doors  and take back any ground that you may have given to him. When you do this, he can’t have legal access to you like he did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Push Satan back with your sword. When you do this, it will be like the enemy retreating in war and running away in fear.

The enemy won’t be able to defeat you, unless you allow it. On the other hand, he also won’t back down if you let him get away with it and don’t use your authority. He will try any way that he can to worm his way in.

So, daily pick up your sword. Hold it up and show Satan who is boss. Push him away in the Spirit, speak abundant blessing on your day or night, and you will begin to walk in continual victory.

What is happening in your life? Have you been struggling with anything like health or financial problems, lack of favor or feeling a failure? 

Whatever it is, do not accept any nonsense that the enemy tries to send your way. That is not your portion or what the Lord desires in your life. Use your authority and get him running from you. Then you can go and do what the Lord wants you to do, and experience His abundant life.
