Destined for Blessing

My family and I were driving to a shopping mall and we saw a crazy scene unfolding in front of us. We had to stop at a traffic light before entering the highway, and at the intersection were some hawkers and people asking for money. 

If you have visited South Africa or if you live here, you will know that this is quite common. Sometimes they try to sell you something. Other times they have a placard that asks you to help, or they simply walk with a cup that they put any money in that you give them.

At that particular intersection there were three guys. Then shortly after we arrived, a woman began walking slowly up the road as well. Suddenly one of the guys walked up behind her and slapped her on the head. The other two guys did not accept that horrible behavior, and immediately started attacking him and bringing him to order. 

We were pretty shocked at what we just saw. Why would that guy want to be nasty to that woman? They all stood an equal chance of getting provision. Perhaps he didn’t want someone else taking away his chance of getting provision in. 

If you look at the world in which we live, this is a good picture of the World System which wants to grab everything for itself. It wants to push you down as a believer and stop the provision from coming to you. 

One of Satan’s greatest fears is of you as a believer becoming wealthy. Why? Because he knows that when you have abundant provision, you can use that finance to destroy his demonic realm. He definitely does not want this, so he wants to ‘slap you around the head’ a little bit to get you distracted and wanting to give up. 

What do those slaps speak of? They speak of problems that could come your way in the financial realm. He tries to stop the provision from coming in some or other way. He tries to steal it before it comes to you. Or, when you have received it, he will try to make your money vanish into thin air through some or other means. All of these things bring the opposite of blessing.

But here is the good news. If you have your eyes focused on the Lord and are walking with Him, He will not allow Satan to have his way. His desire is for you to walk in blessing, and when Satan tries to attack unexpectedly, He will fight him on your behalf and help you to get the victory. 

Prayer for Provision

I want to pray with you now and speak blessing on your provision. 

“I lift you up to the Lord now and I want to thank you Lord for your protection. Thank you for the angels who will fight the enemy on our behalf as he tries to cause problems and to steal from us.

I stand with you now and speak forth abundant provision on your behalf. If you have no source of provision and are looking to the Lord to change this, I thank the Lord for leading you towards blessing and provision. 

If you have a source of provision, I speak an increase and much blessing on that provision. And I say to the enemy, ‘Satan you will not have your way in the lives of God’s people. I push you back, and you will bow your knee and get off their land now!’

Angels of God, I thank you that you will help now to bring that blessing in. I release you to fight against the enemy and push him back, and then to open new doors of blessing in the lives of God’s people. Thank you Lord for doing this now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

May the Lord continue to watch over you and cause your finances to increase.
