Your Spiritual Walk

I recently had an amazing experience, when I unexpectedly met an old friend of mine from school. We became friends in the first year of school, and kept in touch right up until the time I married my current husband. After this time we somehow lost contact.
It was one of those things that the world would have said was coincidence or fate. But the way it took place made me have no doubts that this was divinely inspired and of the Lord.
I was just blown away by what happened because I last saw her 32 years ago! How did she recognize me after all that time? Did I still look similar? I really didn’t know.
Well, when we met a short while later, I just had to ask her how she knew it was me. She said she wondered if it was me when she first spotted me. But when she saw me walking, that is what settled it. After all that time, my unique walk still stood out.
I thought this was so funny, but it got me thinking. I obviously had a unique way of walking in the natural, but I realized that we can also have a unique walk in the spiritual.
What am I talking about? I am talking about something special that the Lord gives you to do spiritually as part of your calling or ministry.
Do you realize that you are special and unique to the Lord? You are not like a cookie cutter version and the same as everyone else in the Body of Christ. You have a unique ‘walk’ that not many other people have.
Perhaps you have a different way of praying for people when it comes to healing. Or maybe you have a unique way of causing people to be healed of past hurt.
You might not know what this special quality is because it often takes a long time to fully develop. It is like a kid who is growing up into adulthood and blossoming like a beautiful flower. You often don’t see exactly what they are going to be like. But as they mature, certain special things may stand out in them.
You may still be growing in the Lord and your uniqueness may only be starting to come out. You may not know that you have something special until someone points it out and tells you what it is. You will then realize that you are standing out for the Lord and shining like a light in the darkness.
So where do you stand today? Do you stand out for the Lord and cause people to be attracted to you because of something special and different that you have?
Whatever your spiritual life is like, may you continue to walk with the Lord. As you do so, you will blossom and bloom and He will shape you into something beautiful for Him.
Many blessings to you.
