God Loves Us Forever
Satan is sly, sneaky and deceptive, and he tries to bring those things into your life. The description of him in Genesis 3 of being like a serpent is probably the best way you could describe him.
It says in John 10:10, that he is a thief, and he wants to steal, kill and destroy. I have always seen that verse being related to the three main needs we have in life: health, wealth and relationships. He wants to steal your provision, kill you physically, and destroy your relationships.
But the Lord showed me that he wants to attack your soul in the same way. He wants to steal your joy, kill your enthusiasm, and destroy your zeal to continue with the Lord.
How does he do it? By trying to whisper wrong thoughts into your ear. He tries to either make you go overboard and do too much in the flesh. Or you feel like you are a failure, and you just sit and do nothing. Then he accuses you of being a dead loss and of no use for the Lord.
When you start to feel guilt and condemnation, it can stop you in your tracks completely. You feel like you can’t even come to the Lord because you think He is mad at you. You have missed the mark and the Lord is rejecting you.
What a lie! It says this in the second part of Hebrews 13:5,
… for he has said, I will never [double negative] leave you, nor abandon you. [GBMV]
Word from the Lord
This is what the Lord wants to say to you today.
“My child, I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have never stopped loving you. And when you fail, or listen to the lies of the enemy that says you have messed up, you feel like I do not love you anymore and will reject you.
But My child, no matter what you do, nothing can stop My love for you. I do not care whether you stand or fall, because My love is not conditional about your works or how good you are. My love is there simply because you love Me and want to walk with Me.
So reject the lies of the enemy when he tells you that I am casting you out. Then continue to look to Me and walk with Me day by day. I will lead you a step at a time, and will lift you up and make you strong in Me. Then you can rejoice because you will know that I always love you, and you are special to Me,” says the Lord.
